J12 : Securities advice and dealing
The CII’s J12 exam forms a part of the Diploma in Financial Planning as well as the Certificate in Securities Advice and Dealing. It is a 2-hour multiple choice question paper consisting of 75 questions (60 standard format multiple choice questions, and 3 case studies with 5 standard format multiple choice questions in each), with a nominal pass mark of 65%.
The exam syllabus includes the features and risks of securities, the structure and features of the securities market and the relevant factors and considerations for investment recommendations.
